Pastor's Bio

Hello and God bless,

My name is David Zamora; what the Lord has done in my life he's done in many others I hope and pray as you read this that it will encourage you to seek the Lord even further! For sake of space I will give a brief testimonial on were I was and where the Lord has me now.

I came from a dysfunctional home my father was an alcoholic and abusive toward us all both physically and mentally at the age of eight my parents divorced after 21 years or so of marriage I can remember it didn’t really bother me I was just happy to be out of that situation. My mother raised us in church so we were very familiar with prayer seeking the Lord in time of fear and need, by the time I was 9 yrs old I remember my older brother gave me some marijuana and I got high for the first time he was two yrs older than me and from that point on drugs were a big part of my life meth, heroin, cocaine, and p.c.p but my drug of choice was meth.

Before I reached my teens I was involved in gang activity mainly due to the fact that I had quite a few relatives who were gang members and dope dealers neither of my parents were, my father was a hard worker and made good money and my mother was a Christian woman and they taught us that work was important, but like most young males I needed to find out for myself and for the next 12 yrs of my life it was all about drugs, gangs and institutions I was in a boy's ranch and 8 different correctional facilities in the state of California and one in Texas and my life was a mess after paroling from prison I realized I needed change some one told me about the God of my childhood and I knew that’s what I needed by the time I was 21 yrs old I gave my life to the Lord and my life has changed so much through the grace of God and his love that he freely gives.

Most people think that God is for weak people but I will tell you today that’s far from the truth Jesus gave his life so that we might have it more abundantly and that’s exactly what happened. A man told me if there was one thing you could have removed from your life what would it be? I said this drug addiction and he said then ask the Lord to take it from you! and if he would,  will you serve him " I said I will serve you if you took it from me I was tired of being a drug addict" so you know what I did I prayed and my prayer was simply this "Lord if you are the God of the bible and the God that this man say's you are and the God that my mom say's that you are then take this drug addiction away from me if you cannot then I don’t need you in my life and I will die a drug addict, but if you do take it from me I will serve you the rest of my life" and I didn’t even say amen but I will tell you I never touched another needle since! I was free for the first time in years and I've been free ever since.
